Welcome!
I am Assistant Professor of Political Science at the University of Nevada, Reno. My research focuses on the U.S. Congress, the presidency, and interest groups, with an emphasis on how policymakers develop and pursue their policy agendas.
My current work examines how majority parties allocate agenda space in Congress, the role interest groups play in creating partisan conflict, and how lawmakers use the appropriations process to pursue their policy goals.
During the 2016-2017 academic year, I was an APSA Congressional Fellow. I received a Ph.D. in Political Science from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in Distributed Studies from the University of Colorado.
